As a young child I realized i am easily affected by others.
Just an ordinary Sunday for me...but my heart was very heavey. I should have been happy since one of my good friend is having his big day. But my heart is very heavy and I know I was not jealous of him.
I am sick and tired to have to prove myself to others on a regular basis.
It is very tiring. I am exhausted.
Do you hear what I hear?

September Leaves
Thought it is hard to believe, but I have started seeing some yellow leaves on the ground enroute to work last week!
MK has always laughed at me for my route selection. I must admit I do enjoy 'scenic drives' and wouldn't mind go off to the unbeaten track for some scenes. My new ministry happens to be in the Tri-cities area and I have the pleasure to spend 15 of my 22 minute drive on spectular road - what more can you ask when you get snowcapped mountations, quiet waters of an inlet, and old growth forrest in 20 minutes!?

Work has been great with the usual stress. I think I am beginning to settle more into my role now as the chaplain. It is a bit different than what I envisioned but the setting fits me quite well. I am not doing a lot of visits. Rounds and planning meetings keep me busy on most days. It is still a bit scary to think the whole place depends on your so called professional skills as a chaplain. I do have some super capable lay chaplains to work with for coverage. There is even a possible duo of interns coming in this fall. Hopefully we will have a full scale service by Spring next year.

Much happened at the Well. It still mindboggling to see how absurd sometimes people behave. Meanwhile things are still very much in the air, but not many people has any idea of what will happen.
I shall keep this in prayer since I am too far away...anyways.

Finally some sunny days...it's about time since we never had summer.

Pager
August 08 is a new page for P and I, much like Apr 2000 and Dec 2004.
For a chaplain, the pager is his communication with others....his heart skips when the beeping sound emerged. It reminds him of the significance in his role - to provide spiritual care to patients, family members and staffs.
A friend of mine commented this ministry as my 'first love', I couldn't agree more.
With tremble, fear, but joy as well....
Welcome home, Lawrence.

再見陳牧

The staff had a crazy luncheon as we send pastor chan off to HK. He will be around until the end of the month but it would be the last time I see him in the office as P andI leave for vacation.
I've known the guy for quite a few years. Our relationship went kinda backwards. He was first the senior guy of my mother church --> senior guy of the then new church-plant --> senior pastor of the church I pastored --> and finally my mentor at the present.
No many pastors would stick around for 20 yrs in a single church. He may not be perfect in every single thing but I am so thankful for his 'durability'.
Goodbye pastor chan....godspeed.

Long Vacation
My pastor friend posted a alpaca pix on his blog and ask if any know the name the the cutie...I took the liberty to answer...as I logged in the Blogger I realized it's been quite a while since the last update on this blog! Almost 6 months!
The truth is 細粒 lured me away to yahoo and I couldn't stop writing over there (as my two sisters' blogs were there too). However, I still like this blogger site much better than the cookie-cutter site in yahoo.....
If you are somehow reading this...please note that I WILL (not may) be back here in the near future....
Keep growing....
